This is an oddball request that I just got. We need to turn off ringing for the acd key of a 500 set.

I know you can set SCN for an extension but can you do this for an ACD key?

On a related note---How do you stop the caller from hearing ringing before moh starts to play?

This is an Option 61C rls 5

Humm, you tried CRD in the CLS, it is Continuous Ring Denied, I don't know what it does as I haven't tried it before, but worth a shot.

If the phone is a 2500 you can adjust the ringer to where it won't ring with the slide switch underneath the phone.
Is this a Symposium CC

Haven't tried that yet but I will. Looks like my manuals are out of date. Didn't see that as an available option. Can you post the description of what it does?

Thanks.

They are programmed as 500 sets. It is physically a line-side T1 attached to a Dialogic D240JCT. (This provides IVR ports)

That is a E1/T1 card . . . you might want to post your TN's, as this is getting more and more confusing as we go.

Here is a prt of one of the TNs that I am trying to turn off ringing for.

If you do not want it to take calls, take it out of the Queue (make it non-ACD). It will still be able to dial out. You will need to tell the IVR not to try to log in.

There is no true ring, since it is all digital.

OK. That answers the question for me. I was thinking there was a true ring presented to the port since the TN was defined as an analog set.

In a sort of related question, what can you set on music on hold to eliminate the ring the caller hears just before the music starts to play. We are providing moh using a MIRAN III

I'll assume the IVR is doing the transfer. Being extremely specific and detailed will get you your answers faster. We don't know who is transferring and to what. I am just guessing on your question.

If I am an analog TN and I want to transfer you, you will hear ring if I immediately hang up after dialing the number I want to send you to.

If I delay hanging up until the far system answers, you will not hear ringback....just the sound of my HOLD music, then the sound of whatever answers, such as a person, or whatever I transferred you to.

Maybe that will point you in the right direction.

That does answer the question. Thanks. Your assumption of who is doing the transfer was correct.

Sorry for not providing that explicitly in the question.
