Transfering data over specific nic

Hi,

I have a linux server that has two nic cards setup with different IP's.

Nic card2 IP is 172.33.3.50 and has a vpn tunnel set up to another remote server.

If I need to transfer data to the remote server how can I make the transfer go through Nic Card2 IP 172.33.3.50?

How do you direct a ftp transfer through a certain nic card?
