I recently replaced an Octel system with an AVST voicemail system integrated with an Option 11 Rls, 24.24 using set emulation. The Octel used analog ports for voice paths and digital ports for cpnd info and mwi. The AVST uses digital ports for everything. When the Octel transferred a call to an extension, the phone would ring differently from calls dialed from another extension. With the AVST, however, the transferred calls ring just like the internal calls. No changes were made to the trunks, so I'm sure the problem is on the port programming.

The only thing I can think would be different is if the Octel ports had "Distinctive Ringing by DN" where you can specify that outgoing calls ring the called party distinctively.

Kinda like making calls from the boss ring different than those from other employees...

To make calls from a TN ring different, set CLS DRDA and respond to "DNRO" prompt after the key is entered on that TN.
