Hi, I need some help on this... I have installed a softconsole in one of our IPO customers but everytime when he closes the softconsole application the second call appearance disappear from the analog telephone configuration.
 
Using Softconsole and an analog phone must be a joke !

Softconsole is a program for operators
Operators should be ableto handle multiple calls

Also call appearences are not used with Analogue extns :)

Hi, I need some help on this..." - so press F1 next time you login SoftConsole. Read the section on logging in, especially expanding the full login settings.

They include options for Calls Waiting and Off Hook operation. Sound like they are configured to be switched on when SoftConsole is started and off when its closed.

And before the others get too up themselves, SoftConsole and its ancestors were all about getting maximum features without needing some OTT big $$$$ phone (if the console and console user do their job well, the phone is just a speech path and doesn't need to be a feature set).
 
But an operator is no good when netowkr problems cause Softconsole not to work and all they have is an Argos £10 phone!!! They need a decent phone as backup if nothing else.

I agree it can be used with a POT phone, but never ever would!

First of all catlitter, I mentioned that call appearences are not used for analogue sets because he stated the second call appearence disappearing as part of the fault. Secondly as Jamie has already mentioned an Operator/Receptionist (who soft console is aimed at) is the one person in the company that needs a fuller feature set on their phone. They need 3 call appearences minimum for obvious reasons, an anaolgue handset introduces delays in call setup, you should always allow for changes in programming such as adding night service buttons or paging button etc, also after shelling out the money for soft console a 5410 is hardly huge outlay. And finally by posting questions on here you are asking for answers and suggestions on how to best resolve your issue and in this case the advice he has been given is spot on.

Thanks for helping about the sites, but I didn't find if the second call works in analogue phones. I can access the sites that you told me but I didn't find any document. So, is there any configuration I could execute for the second call doesn't disappear when the softconsole will be closed? Thank you so much.
 
Delete the CA keys from the Alog user. Use the softconsole to put calls on hold when you need to answer another.

Alog phones are know as SLT's for a reason. Single Line Telephone!!

Jamie, thank you. How can I delete the CA keys? Can you tell me please?
 
Go the the user buttons, highlight the button, then click ermmmmm delete!!!!

Ca key need to be deleted in oreder starting from the bottom.
