I know I sound dumb but as hard as I try I cannot get text to curve around the edge of a cd lable (The warning about unarthorised copying ect)
I am using the cd lable template
Can someone help me please

...are you using the text on a path tool, then clicking on an ellipse/circular path?

Andrew

...if i also understand you correctly you have opened the template that came with illustrator?

...there are more than one version with CS3...

...i believe you have the one open that is just guides, you will need to add an ellipse/circular path on top of the guides provided, then type with the 'type on path' tool...

...this is found under the type tool (click and hold for a brief moment on the 'T' type tool symbol to reveal more tools, type on path is in there).

Andrew

...if you then want the text running on the inside of the path, switch to the black arrow select tool, then click on the very thin line on the path, your cursor will change to an upside down "T" symbol, when you have that, click and drag that thin bar into the circle and the text will snap inside...

...the other way is to choose (from the main menu):

type > type on a path > type on a path options

...then turn on the 'flip' option...
