text and motion guide

hey all..
what i'm trying to achieve is having the text line "follow this sinewave" actually follow part of a sinewave...
that made no sense.

esentially, when using text and a motion guide, each letter doesn't follow the shape... the entire word does.

here's an anology...

if you think of a row of carts on a rollercoaster as they go over the curves, they bend...

i've tried doing this in swish, but the motion will not go in the direction i want it to...

i know this is vague, and i could email a jpeg to anyone that may have an idea of what i'm trying to do..

Using the "mouse trail thingy" principle, you could probably work something out!

swish has dozens of wave effects and im surprised you cant do it in there.

hey bill and oldnewbie...
i know i'm not being as clear as i could be, i need the text to follow a sine wave, as if it was going up a hill, then down, then back up. with the text traveling from left to right, say opposite of what how the nasdeq scrolls. swish has an issue with going in that direction, i've tried just about every effect they have, as well as flipping the text and inverting, and even spelling backwards.

the effect can be done in illustrator, but obvioulsy, it's just static.

in the mean time, i've done a "nuetron" effect that the client may like instead. and i've been searching sites to see if there is somewhere that it's done that i could use as an example.
