Could anyone explain the difference between a T1 and a Pri. Thankyou very muchly

Thanks for the replies. It seems so simple that the system could display an in-use channel, but, technology often seems like one thing and is something completely different. Is there a way to make an incoming call on the T1 ring multiple handsets instead of just the 2 that they programmed? I think that was the major source of contention, that nobody knew the phone was ringing if the secretaries weren't at their desks.

You will find that your main number is coming into your receptionist's phone on a target line (probably line 145) and that line has an appearance on their phones. If you make appearances for this target line on other phones you need to be very careful about how many rings to voicemail that the phones that are new to the ringing line have and how the new phones to the ringing line will affect incoming calls. I usually make sure that either the AA or the main mailbox answer the lines one ring sooner than other phones.

Depending on your software level you may be able to create a hunt group with brodcast ringing that will have the incoming target line ring all member phones of the hunt group.

on older software versions (pre 4.0 software) there are incoming line groups. let us know if you have a need for info about them, they are not really optimum but they are there. JerryReeve

Its becoming clear to me now. So, what if you want it to ring phones who have no voice mail box? What does that do to the ring count, is it still an issue?
