Hi,
am trying to setup syslog daemon on solaris server. I have below script which works on a linux server. i need someone help to know what will change for a solaris server...
It seems "authpriv" is a linux command, what is the equivalent for a solaris server?
To set up the syslog for broker on Linux Machine:
· Log on as root
· touch /var/mqsi/syslog/syslog.user
· chown mqadmin:mqbrkrs /var/mqsi/syslog/syslog.user
· chmod 640 /var/mqsi/syslog/syslog.user
· Add the following line to the /etc/syslog.conf :
/etc/syslog.conf
# MQ Specific logging
# MQ Specific logging
user.info /var/mqsi/syslog/syslog.user
authpriv.* /var/log/messages
· Restart the syslog daemon
