I see that the SX200 will buffer 200 calls my ? is how do I retrieve them remotely so I can bill for these calls.
As always your help is greatly appreciated.

you are asking how would you get the smdr readout from a remote location? there are appliances that have serial plugs on them or you could park a pc on there and come in on the network!

I am connected thru Procomplus I need to know how to display these records
Thanks
BL

is the port set for smdr?is this a 200 el

you should be able to set a profile 9600,n,8,1
no flow control and you should see call activity
not on site so I can not remember if you need a null modem
cable maybe I know that initialy it didn't work for me
and then left for a cuppa joe and came back and it
was working are you trying to use the console
or are you on the printer port on bay 1 need to
2x ck descriptor for data me el has
call accounting and pms integration on a 1103 all works
as advertised hope this helps

The trouble is the switch is in Hawaii and I'm either in Southern California or Texas, right now I'm in my Texas house. I do everything remotely so that's why I'm asking how to pull the call records remotely. I can do them on a 2000 but not that familiar with the 200
Thanks BL

connect a direct connect modem to the smdr port
or have some one plug a pc in that has pc anywhere
on it and plug it into the network!like I said there
are also rs-232 appliances that plug into the network
as well that allow you to telnet in!!

lucy i think you can dial in and get smdr
records right from your maint port you may want to try.

I can go into the maint and see the SMDR records come across in real time, but my question is that in the tech handbook it states that the sx200 will buffer 200 calls how do I display the calls in the buffer. On the SX2000 you can do a logs read smdr and see all the calls that have been made.
Thanks BL

set up a computer that says on all the time at the place in hawaii and put this software on it and setup ur network to remotely access it. all you need is to type in the ip address of the computer its on and you can access it. if its behind a router then forward the ports from that computer and it will work fine. it will generate any report you want and you can set up call tariffs. its pretty good. thats what i do from my house.
