Hi there,

Using CRXI, SQL database. In main report, i have a datetime parameter {?Date} on field payment.updatedatetime. In the subreport, i have a datetime parameter {?Date} on field employee.entrydatetime. The subreport contains a variable to pull the date into the main report. I tried linking on {?Date} field but the data is not returning. Does having two different fields prevent the parameter from working?

Thanks.

So do you want to pass the datetime parameter {?Date} to the subreport or the other way. To pass it to the subreport, you should be able to link the parameters in the 'Change Subreports link...' shortcut menu item.

To pass it the other way (subreport to main report), you would need to use a shared variable.

Yes, i want to pass the ?date to the subreport. the subreport already contains a shared variable formula that is returning a sum.

In the subreport linking screen, move the {?Date} to the right, and then use the dropdown in the lower left to select {?Date} instead of the default {?pm-?Date}. You must use the parameter in the subreport selection formula for this to work properly (assuming you are using the parameter for selection). Not sure how the shared variable formula is relevant to this issue.

Thanks, LB. Now, why didn't I think of that?!
