Stright to Embedded voicemail 3

I have been unable to get this to work in build 4.1.12. Works fine on voicemail pro. Is their a trick to get this version of embedded vm to work?

nope,

i have had this working on various versions of software. i have never seen it working differently to vm pro....

what happens when you dial the shortcode?

Have a really good look at your shortcode. Check that Manager hasn't put a pair of quote marks around the #N in the telephone number.

(I've seen reports of it trying to be "helpful" in that way. Of course it reduces the many support calls from people who forget the quote marks when they are needed but it just moves the problem to others)

also (not trying to undermine your intelligence, just going over the basics) your X's do match your extn range? i.e 3 digit extns, 3 X's, i have ballsed that up before

sizbut you are right on. The manager app is adding "" around the #N so I picked the un park call item above voicemail collect in the sc list and deleted the " " around the #N and hit ok. Then I changed the sc back to voiceamil collect and it did not add the " " this time. Once sent to the IPO it worked as expected.

Sizbut i noticed mine doing that as well. anything you create with Vm Collect it adds them in...pain in the a$$

if you just create a new shortcode and select leave the feature as default Dial hit OK then change feature to Vm Collect - Ok again it doesn't do the " thing.

I bet you are all using the new 6.1.15 manager if it is doing it, we have the same issue, if you are using the 6.1.12 manager it won't happen

It also happens with 4.2 manager

But if you first fill in the "Telephone number" and then the rest it does not happen

But you always need to check what you are doing before clicking "OK"
