Stretching groups in InDesign

I have a question regarding grouped items in InDesign. When two elements (specifically a photo and its caption) are grouped in Quark, you can stretch any side and it doesn't affect the dimensions of the photo in a frame, just the size of the frame. In InDesign, I can't seem to figure out how to stretch the grouped frames (one a text frame, one an image frame) without the image being stretched at the same time. Can anyone help?

As far as I know you'll have to ungroup the two frames.
