Hi All,

I have few songs in MP3 format on my web-site. When the client click for those songs the song has to completly download to play. The dialup connection takes too long to play the song because the song is 4MB size. I wanted to streem the sound 5% of song at a time and rest of the song must be downloaded when it is playing. Please suggest a way to do this.

Thanks in advance.

One meg at top 56K speeds takes a good 2-1/2 minutes, which means the 4 Mb song you referred to will take 10 minutes to download at the maximum 53.3Kbps. Realistically, it'll take maybe 15 to 30 minutes to download. There's no way you're going to stream that and have it come out coherent.

use ASF format for Windows Media Player. Or you could use QuickTime or RealPlayer format.

Depends what your formats your audio package supports.
