Strange routing with 515

Hello

I've got a Cisco PIX 515 as my gateway though which I can ping an external IP (for example 66.102.11.104) quite happily but I can't trace to it as the trace stops once its left my network. This is an IP that I can trace to successfully on all other connections I've tried.

Is it possible to block trace and ping packets independently?

Any ideas are much appreciated.
