starting a i960 raid card

Hi everyone,

I am trying to install RH8 on a new box.

I manage to get an IBM raid controller based on intel 960 chipset and three IBM SCSI HD.

RedHat does not recognize the card at startup and therefore it tells me "no mass storage device found".

I am a quite experienced Linux user but I am new to raid configuration.

Am i missing some step in the setup? Do I need a specific startup disk for the card?

Any help is highly appreciated
