Hi
I need an application to start at boot, i.e. before logon. I know there exist 3rd party tool to convert a progam to a service, but I would like to avoid that kind of "drastic" measures. Any ideas?

Running an application as a service is not really drastic. You can use the Windows Resource kit utility SRVANY in order to set this up.
