I am seeing my server crash when I try to install SQL
Server 2008. The server is a newly built Windows Server 2008 with no history of use for anything!
When I get to the setup screen where you choose between "windows security" and "mixed mode", I can switch back and forth between the tabs on this screen without a problem. However, as soon as I enter a password for the 'sa' account and then try to switch to another tab,I get a "password complexity" error and then the server crashes. I never even hit the 'next' button. Yes, I tried a complex password of 24 characters, numbers, special characters and letters (upper and lowercase) but the server still crashes.
I tried editing some install scripts to change the hard-coded "Yukon90" password but still got same crash.
