I have a Soundstation2 from Polycom and from what I see in the manual, you need to setup as a M2616.

Can someone help me out on how you do that? When I try to enter that model in the "Mdl" field in ICS, it says that it is "not a valid option for Mdl."

We use ICS for our programming via a PC. I cannot seem to find any good How To docs that are in depth on exactly how to add this Polycom.

Thanks!

not sure what the ICS is but did you try just 2616?

I will give just 2616 a shot and see what happens..... The ICS I thought was the Software for connecting to the system... If I am mistaken, sorry... I am not much of a phone programmer... Hence why I need help! Ha Ha!

Thanks again!

We currently have the following listed in the software:

M7100
M7208
M7310
M7324
T7316E

You have a Nortel CICS norstar key system. You will need to set the polycom on a 7310 port. You should get an adapter from Konexx to connect it.

Okay on the Adapter.... Thank for the info... I didn't order this phone but someone else did and threw it in my lap to figure out.... Go figure... Ha Ha! Thanks for your help... I will look into the adapter.

Thanks,

Which adapter should I look at since this is supposed to be for the PBX systems and not needed to be used with an ATA adapter? The Konnexx adapters I have seen are for analog conference phones....

Thanks,

Ed

That Poloycom will not work on a Key System, it will only work on the PBX.

Plus also this is the PBX Forum and in the future if you need help, use the Norstar forum.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Okay thanks for the info and sorry about not posting correctly... I wasn't sure where to post since it I wasn't sure exactly what support I required...

Thanks,
