Hello,

I’m trying to learn more about exchange and its capabilities. Here’s a scenario I’m trying learn if it’s possible.

Lets say I manage 4 exchange server (A, B, C, D) and they are all located at different sites and I want to have servers A, B and C route all message to server D and only server D can send and receive from the internet.

Can this be done and if it can how would I go about doing something like this?

Thank you for your time,

Make server D your front end server, the rest are back end. Simply make the port 25 path through your firewall point to server D, and only use that one single path.

Not sure if you'd even have to configure the servers as front end and back end, I think you could get away with configuring A, B, and C to use D as their Bridgehead.

Wouldn't need front-end, back-end.

You'd just have routing group connectors from A, B and C to D with D being the only one having an SMTP connector out to the internet.
