Simple System Setting

What is the system setting name that controls the assignment of phone extensions to the physical wire vs. physical phone during phone movement. I lost might note and cannot find this feature to turn it off.. We used it during a recent office shuffle, but I would like to turn it off.

I think you are referring to Set Relocation,

It is under System Programming, Feature Settings, Set Relocation.

Just to let you know this will not change what DNs are associated with what port. So the extension number to port number are still going to be meesed up. The only way to correct it is to figure out what phones were swapped and swap them back (with set relocation on). Or you can do a hard reboot and feature **startup. You can find the extension/ port number through port status, or if they have a 2 line display feature *0 and then push intercom and view to see the port.

*0 works on single line phones...You just have to hit # to scroll the data.
