Hi All
On site trying to configure a sip trunk to show callers a particular id

The customer has a local sip number down under
the system is in Ireland
Both numbers provided by IPtelecom
When making calls to oz I want the system to show the oz caller Id
So for short code I have
0061N
0061Ns00612xxxxxxxx
this wont let me dial out at all

if I put 0061.
0061.s00612xxxxxx

I can dial out but still shows the local number here

unfortunately the caller Id still shows as the local caller Id here

Please go easy on me only recently passed my AIPS

I also set up short code for my mobile to test this but still only get the local caller ID & not the one I have programmed in
Any help would be great thanks

Many thanks

Make sure you have this feature turned on with the provider.

Then the easiest thing to do is add a new URI to the SIP trunk programming that is the number you wish to display in all 4 entry boxes (in full international format). Make its incoming ID the normal one and give it a unique outgoing ID. Set the number of channels to the real number of channels on the trunk.

Then point your shortcode for these calls to the new outgoing ID and the correct number should be displayed.

Many thanks for your quick reply

provider says its enabled

I have created a uri with the number
pointed the short code to outgoing group 8
And still same :-(
still only get the local caller ID

Thanks

Above is an example of how I do it

The first entry is used for incoming calls and so the ICR is using line group 370
The second entry is used for outgoing calls and so the ARS points to line group 371 - this uses the information set in the users SIP tab for the outgoing CLI
The third entry is used for outgoing calls and so the ARS points to line group 372 - this then sends the number shown as the outgoing CLI

For the ARS it looks just like this

So first line send via line group 371 so displays the users DDI which is what is programmed in their SIP tab
The rest of the lines (setup for local London dialing) go via line group 372 so display the number in the third SIP URI entry (their main number).
