How do i place my application's (writtem in paradox 9) startup icon in the system tray area (where the clock and volume control is)? Need help FAST please.

Why do you need it in the *system tray*?

I've found several things about removing stuff from the system tray, but nothing about adding it.

I think the system tray is for utilities that are always running, waiting for you to edit/run the full GUI. You may need to create a program (C/C++/VB/ETC) that does this.

Would the area to the right of 'Start' button not work?

Do you want to put it in the Quick Launch toolbar? First you will need to show the Quick Launch toolbar by right clicking on the taskbar, choosing Toolbar, and clicking on Quick Launch. Then you can just click and drag the app icon onto the toolbar.

I have never tried to put anything in the system tray, like Tony I usually just try to get stuff out of there, it means programs are using resouces.

Hope that helps,

Thanx for the replies, but i found some code for vb. this is just something i am playing around with and was wondering if it could be done in paradox.

"this is just something i am playing around with"

This is not something that would inspire me to work hard on a cry for help at a later date.
