Hi,

Suppose this scenario: WSS and SPS 2007 are installed.

One morning the Sharepoint Config database is "SUSPECT". If a SQL SERVER backup exist (.bak), is it possible for the DBA to SQL RESTORE from config.bak ?

Does the Sharepoint Admin need to execute some others tasks after the SQL Restore of the Sharepoint Config database ?

merci

Restore the config DB to another instance from backup. Make sure you didn't back up a SUSPECT DB, and, if so, restore the last good backup.

I believe the solution to this is purely SQL-based. Look at This article, and Google for "SQL server recover SUSPECT database".

Good luck!
