Newbie here using "FP98"! Can you set a background image in the shared borders of a web without having that image in the body of the page?
Thanks, in advance

Ah Ha! Thank you, I didn't think that I was going crazy. I couldn't find the info anywhere in help, etc. Looks like an upgrade is in my future. Tried tables and didn't like the appearance and, from what I can tell, frames are not the best idea in creating web sites. Does anyone have an opinion on the use of frames?

I did have frames on one of my sites, and I can tell you the reason why I pulled them off--the day I ran a search on the Internet for my keywords and found it picking up all the files--the overall file containing the content page and the frames, each frame file, and the content file. If people clicked on the content file, they'd end up on a page without any links to navigate anywhere on the site.

For the shared borders, I actually only use the top border as colored. I inserted a table into the border, set it to 100%, and changed the color. Doesn't work on the sides as well, but it might be something you can do. Linda Adams
