How do I get rid of 'Thumbnails' file listings in Windows Explorer. I have searched 'Options' and cannot see how to have 'List' as default. Is there a way?

Thanks

Assuming XP here! Open up a folder with some FILES in it (not just folders).

There should be a small icon on the top in the middle that is square with a pull down arrow next to it.

You should be able to pull it down to thumbnails.

Then, if you want ALL folders to be viewed that way, go to TOOLS, FOLDER options, VIEW tab, Apply to all folders.

Thanks folks. As usual, the answer was staring me in the face :(
