I have 3 Buildings connected by fiber, 3 Extreme Summit 24e3 layer 3 switches and one Cisco 36xx router. I intend to connect the cisco, which my ISP provides with 3 public IP ranges, to Summit #1 port 24. I also intend to setup a redundant ethernet port 23 to connect to a DSL Modem/router. Summit 1 has two active gbic ports, one each for Summit #2 & #3. I intend to set up 8 VLANs, of which will use public IP addresses, the rest are private. One VLAN will span Summit #1 & 2#, but I wish all VLANs to utilize the ISP connection and future services (E.G. Echange, SQL....)I am planning.

Are there any examples I can see anywhere? I'm looking for proven Ideas IP schemes for multi VLANs.

I realize I need to set up a defalt VLAN, I'm planning a private range which my ISP trunk will abide.

Two VLANs I need to config for 2 separate public IP subnets.

Per RFC 1597: Section 3: Private Address Space, The Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) has reserved the following three blocks of the IP address space for private networks: 10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255 , 172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255, and 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.254.
