Hi

Is there any way you can limit the amount of phones that can be in DND??

In a company with 25 users who are regularly away from their desks working different shifts they would like only 15 people at a time to be able to be in DND so that there are always 10 calls getting through to people at a time

Is this in any way possible?

If it's for shift workers wouldn't time profiles be viable?

Just enter N in their DND exceptions lists!

amriddle, I'm assuming you mean to set time profiles on the incoming call routes? Im pretty sure its not purely for shifts, I think a mojority of the people on one shift use DND a lot.

sizbut, I'm assuming N will just make all calls allowed! not sure they would be happy with this either as they do want to be able to use DND in some instances...

i think they are going to have to say to the workers don't have any less than ten at your desks or your'e in for it!! lol

This is a supervisor/employee training issue. People will leave their desks whether the phone can be put into DND or not. There is a limit to what a phone switch can do to make sure calls are answered by live people. Ultimately it depends on having enough people to cover illness, bathrom needs, breaks and meal time on a daily basis. No phone switch can manage that for you.

The customer informs me that time profiles wont work because the shifts arent regular so I have advised that one huntgroup has DND disabled so that there will always be phones ringing, worst case scenario it will ring out or go to voicemail.

cheers

give the supervisor phone manager pro and have the agents in as contacts then the supervisor can see who is in DND and can give them heck.

If you can't be good, be good at it!

doesn't even need PM Pro.... PM lite will show DND status as well.
