We had a server die that was a Domain Controller. It's still listed in AD as a domain controller, and the remaining DC is squaking to event viewer that it can;t reach the old server.

Can I just go to AD, DCs, and delete the DC that is no longer in operation ? Tyrone Lumley

Consider which of the FSMO roles that the DC ran. Sorry to answer with a link but it explains it and can give you an idea to start with. Also was the DC the global catalog server. R. Henson CCNA,CCAI,MCP
