Hi All, referencing,

Following a successful backup, you are presented with the following.

https://res.cloudinary.com/engineering-com/raw/upload/v1684273104/tips/Doc1_cxnek6.docx

I am aware that mac addresses are associated with server sedition/ application servers and UC modules alike.

My question is, can a successful backup from an in production R230 dell server be applied to a new
R640 dell server without the mac addresses potential issues arising?
Or
Alternatively should only the configs from primary R230 be applied to the primary R640?

If you are backing up to the same version you should be fine to pull a backup config at the solution level.
You have to be on at least 11.0.4.7 to restore to an 11.1 system.
Open the backup in manager offline and send configure to new server.
Take note of the host name and system info (port7071) Configure the new server with the same info.
Do a full backup of the voicemail and pull off the backup using WinSCP. Restore to new server.
Once new server is initialized simply restore the solution on the new server, rehost the license to the new server.

Thank you IPOTS,appreciate your timely response.
