Hi, I have a BCM50r2 and wish to send a non geographical (0871) number instead of the main number. My Tech support say that I must get my line provider to do this & it will be chargeable to the customer. The line provider has approved the sending of this number and agrees to allow it but says I must set the BCM50 to send it.Line provider & tech support both BT.Anyhow in active sets I cannot enter a public OLI of more than 6 digits & cannot see anywhere to enter it in any of the line settings so could someone point me in the right direction.
Thankyou
John

Ofcom Rule.
You cannot send any number other than the ones provided on your PRI/ISDN line.DDI numbers
Otherwise you could not track where the call came from.

This is to prevent other companys fraudulently setting up clid info pretending to be another companys phone number.

Therefore you must apply to OFCOM for this so as they can keep track off who is sending the number.
You also pay a Fee for this

you tell Ofcom the Number you want to send and the number its Tagged to.

Thanks Snowman50 I have already obtained permission to send these digits and the number is logged to this customer.I am unable to send the number from the public OLI field when I try to input the 11 digit number the BCM50 says I can only input 6 digits.I have checked in the "default" under lines and that is set to send 11 digits, the only restriction of 6 is in Public Lines Digits received.I think this is what is stopping me however if I change this setting the system may not be able to see incoming DDI numbers.

That is right,
your OLI will have to match your receive digit lenght,

The 11 digit number is sent from the exchange when all is registered correctly and called from the correct outgoing lines from the BCM lines.

The registerd line is it the carrier line.
If you call your mobile is the number displayed the correct carrier number you have registered

So to me its done from the BT end and OFcom all you have to do is call from the correct lines
