Selecting records by year 1

I have a query that selects a record by a specific date using the expression '[Enter mishap date (MM/DD/YY format)]' in the criteria. I need a similar query that selects all records by year group. Is there a similar sort option? The date format is 'short date (MM/DD/YYYY)'.

Hi

There is a Year() function which returns the year from a date

so you could put in the query Grid MishapYear:Year([MishapDate]) and a criteria of [Mishap year]
