Hi,

I assume you are referring to Mitel SRC (Secure Recording Connector) which is now part of MBG (Mitel Border Gateway).

If so in order to integrate to it you need to be registered with Mitel as a development partner.

Effectively you are able to programatically request which devices you would like to record and the raw data is then passed back to you during a call.

Are you looking for a product to do this for you?

I can give you more info if I understand your requirements better.

Its just like the teleworker, It proxies all voice streams from the handsets, these voice streams are then mirrored to the call recorder over a secure connection.

Hi usaguy , i have Mitel 3300 -- SRC --- external ( no certified Mitel ) system that record call .
Than i understood how SRC get voice packet and send it to external system .
Into Mitel 3300i haven't see special configuration for handle it .

There is no configuration in the 3300, it is handled by a separate server (the MBG).

You will not be able to access it or configure it without the relevant Mitel Licensing and you will also be unable to connect to it or get the "packets" unless you are a Mitel Registered Developer.

You would need to find a Call Recording solution designed to work with the Mitel 3300 if you want to record your calls.

Thanx usaguy , i have understood , Mitel and Recording are be instaleld previosly , i am new maintanence of customer and during check list i have found it .
I haven't never installed SCR on Mitel ....::) .

Basically by default Mitel encrypts voice on the network. You can turn it off if you want and then you don't need the SRC but are less secure. Since Mitel doesn't give its encryption key to the recording vendors you need something to convert the encrypted voice to unencrypted. Thats what the SRC does. It decrypts the voice packets and sends them to a recording product. You have to setup any phone to be recorded in teleworker mode. The teleworker server is in this case the SRC. This sends the voice to/from the phone through the SRC.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

You are missing the point.

All traffic between the Mitel network is encrypted so you have 1 of 2 options:

1. Disable encryption and try to record the rtp packets directly off the network.
2. Contact a Mitel approved call recording vendor who will sell you a recorder which interfaces to the SRC.

The SRC is not a standard built in feature, it is part of the MBG and requires both licences to activate and a Mitel partnership to integrate with.

Are you a Call Recording developer? If so your next step is to speak to Mitel's partner team. If not then you need to find a Call Recording company to supply you with an SRC solution.

The 3300 doesn't care about the IP address of the SRC. The phones that are to be recorded need to be setup as if they were teleworkers. To do that normally you hold down the 7 key during bootup and then put in the IP address of the teleworker. I think that is the same as what you need to do for the recorded phones only you put in the address of the SRC. That way the phone send all there audio to the SRC which can then decrypt and pass on to your recording product.

THis is correct, sets that are being recorded must be configured as you would a Teleworker. Hold 7 key on powerup and follow instructions for entering IP address of the MBG with the Tap licenses for SRC. You will see the MAC of the set in the Devices TAB. Enable device and set will register via MBG and show up in the Call Recording Tab of MBG.
