Is it possible to connect user logons and permissions back to a report without creating numerous folders (i.e 60 branches = 60 folders and the reports/queries/etc) in Seagate Info Administrator. Currently using Oracle (which has users and workgroups tables not currently used)...but trying to negate the user logging on more than once.
TIA
Angus

Angus,

The only way I've found to make this work is to create 2 parameters on the report; one being the account name, and one being the user password.

The report is then sensitised to the password value and conditionally protects / suppresses / formats data accordingly.

The points to consider with this approach are that (a) the administrator would have to be privy to all user passwords, and (b) users will have to be encouraged not to change their passwords, any password change cycles you have set up will have to be removed.
