Does anyone know how to schedule a report so that it can be viewed later. For example, I want to run a shift summary report at midnight because it takes a long time, how can I set up a schedule so it will run at midnight so I can view it the next day?
What software can I use, (maybe Seagate Info?) and is there a way to do it through ASP?

I have done this with a compiled report. After you compile it run the .exe file that is created. It will give you the option of setting up to run at a later time. After setting up the time and day you want it to run click on 'Print'. This will minimize the window. Do Not close the window or click 'Done'. The report will not run. Hope this works for you.
LindaC
lcastner@co.orange.ny.us

Thanks for the tip. What I'm really looking for is a way to call a report via the web, and schedule it to run later, without any input from an end user.
Thanks for any further help.

For what you want to accomplish, I believe Seagate Info is the tool to use here. This tool is all about scheduling reports to be used at a later time... You would be able to schedule your report to run at midnight, and then in the morning it would be waiting there for the end-user. This is able to be done within Seagate Info 7.0.

As for deploying reports via the web, 7.0 does come with this capability, but it is not as user-friendly as Seagate Enterprise Reporting. This is all about web reporting. Check out all the "info" at
Hope everything works out for you.

Dear LindaC,
Do you know how crystal v8 using the back engineered compile utility handles Parameters when using the schedualed feature.
