I am asking becuase I do not have the time to research.

Can anyone tell me why a certificate I issue from SBS for OWA etc is trusted by any PC I put it on? Even if it is a non-domain member?

I should add.

I realize this works because I install the Certificate on the PC. But why when I create a self-signed cert, on a non-SBS server does Windows say it doesn't have enough info to trust the certifacte.

Probably because it wasn't generated in the same way. If you examine the properties (and specifically the intended uses) for each of the certs side-by-side, you'll probably note some differences that account for the client behavior.
