I have recently taken on a client with multiple Linux Servers.. there are three running Samba for File Serving and printing as well as mail web and DNS servers.. They are running a workgroup type network where no one actually logs onto a domian :$ ...I would like to move this over to a domain environment... It is a pain in the a$$ to create accounts on multiple servers workstions, etc. and running logon scripts localy. Is it possible to setup replication in an all Linux environment.. So that I can create accounts on one box only and have users access shares on other servers authenticating off of the PDC??

What challenges am I looking at if I decice to go this route?

Thanks for any input!

You can go several ways

You could use NIS+
or
set one of the servers as a Password server for the others.
samba.org has several documents about setting up a Samba Server as a PDC / Password server
