Hello Friends,

I am a Nortel tech who has just inherited an S8300 (ip box). I have a routing questions, I am hoping to have the good folks in this forum answer. I have two sites A & B. I was asked to create a special routing plan where a user on the Avaya box (A) dials a 3 digit code (to reach site B) and then followed by the callee's 4 digit extension...my question is, how would I accomplish such a plan?....dial a 3 digit code and have the Avaya pbx translate it to a long distance call by automatically inserting the 1 plus NPA and NXX and then waits for the user to insert the last 4 digits.

Thank you in advance..

JR

What does the dial string look like at Site B? Is it uniform or does it change.

NNN-XXX-####

vs

NNN-XXY-####
NNN-XXZ-*###
NNN-YXZ-#*##

How complicated is the dial plan at the other site?
