Running v6.1 of the software on our Firebox II, I started getting messages saying that the config was of a previous version (and then converts it) every time it downloaded the firebox config. I tried uploading a new config and also flashing the firebox but the message still appeared.

I've just installed v6.2 and applied SP1 to it, which downloaded the config and converted it. I made a couple of policy changes that were needed and uploaded the new config file and flashed the firebox. I still get the same message whenever I open policy manager and it downloads the current configuration from the firebox. The config is being uploaded correctly because the policy changes are there so it must be in the correct version.

I'd appreciate any suggestions as to why it thinks it is using an old version's config file.

Cheers.

Oops, sorry guys... I forgot to type a subject for this one!

Got this sorted eventually. You need to have a default config file in the Watchguard folder call untitled.cfg to prevent that error.

Found it on the Watchguard forums when it was still happening after an upgrade to v7.
