Need some help.

I have created an executable and put it along with all the tables into a server file. On the server this executable works fine. But when I copy to a computer without VFP/Microsoft Suite, I get an error.

ERROR: Cannot locate the Microsoft Visual FoxPro Support Library.

Visual Foxpro requires a DLL to run. These are installed when you create a installation set using the setup wizard. For VFP 6.0 the DLLs are VFP6R.DLL and VFP6RENU.DLL.

So how is this running on a server without these .DLL files? That doesn't make sense.

this is a cluster server without the .dlls

What version of VFP are you running? The support files are different for every version.

Well, the short of it is: the DLLs have to be there. They could be in the same directory as the executable, or anywhere in the PATH. For servers, that could be a very large list of possible directories...

Take a look in the Windows SYSTEM or SYSTEM32 directory (depending on OS...if you're running MS Cluster service, it is most likely Win2k, so it would be SYSTEM32) and see if the files are in there.
