rpm build

hi
i have not found instalable rpm, only that src.rpm one so i am forced to build it on my own
how do i create from this source package something like i586.rpm that i can install using rpm -U
i was told to do rpm --rebuild packagename or rpm --recompile packagename, but both do nothing, just ouptut the help

sure, that was the first place where i was
but for some reason i forgot to test if the rpm-build is installed, just did the second system check for missing rpms and realized that one is missing
but thanx for help
