Ok, I may be in the wrong place, but I'm hoping not... if so I apologize.
I'm running cygwin on a windows box, and trying to get the rshd service to work.
I've setup it up, and inetd is started and going, when I try to rsh the box it tries, but I always get a
hostname: Login incorrect.
rsh: can't establish a connection.
I'm fairly certain I just don't have my permissions properly set in either the hosts.equiv or .rhosts files, so I put a
+
in each of them... I know, not so great for security, but I'll worry about that after it works at all.
I figure since cygwin is supposed to be emulating linux, this was my best hope for a solution, thanks for any input.
