How would I create a field that returned a result based on the first 3 digits of a phone number?

There are techs in my group that are based on regions. I want to create a field in my calltrack form that would read the first three digits of a phone number and return the name of the person who supports that individual region.

Any ideas?

What you technically have is a keyword list where the key is the area code and the result is the sales person.
You need to make a keyword view listing all area codes in the first (sorted) column, then the name in the second column.
You'll probably need to define a keyword form for inputting the data.
Then your calltrack field would simply use the area code of the phone number as key for the @dblookup.

Pascal.
