My earlier post answered my question of DTR 1-1 calls receiving pages (can't happen)
We have decided to go ahead and put all the DTR1-1 phones in the classrooms for now to save some FF&E costs on the renovation.
Is is possible to restrict calls on the room phones from dialing outside lines (9 + number) except for 911?

This would be toll restriction programming via LCR. Not the easiest thing for someone without a basic certification in the 2000 product line. Are you familiar with who LCR works in the 2000?

thanks, I planned to have a tech do it if it was possible. I just emailed the sales rep and asked the same question. I told her I wanted a specific tech who is more careful with his programming than some of the others.
All this to keep the ladies on the housekeeping staff from wasting time talking on the phones. I already removed all the phones from their closets in each of the buildings because of it.

Have the tech add in an authorization code so if you have to you can easily override the restriction if you have to make a call from one of their phones. It's quite easy to do and makes your life easier if your in that area.

We have decide NOT to restrict outside calls due to the Mother's Day Out during the week. The workers can call the mother's directly from the room which makes it easy on me.
Thanks for all the info.

If you have matworks you can easily write two scripts which at the click of a button will remove the bar or put it back on. That way you can let people have access as and when you please. These scripts can be stored within matworx so once written they are ridiculously easy to use.

Or you could just go into CM1201 and make these phones 88 if you want them restricted and 11 for normal phones.

But then again you would already have to have LCR built.

Nevermind.

You can have both worlds!

In command 1201 you set a 2 digit number for your restriction i.e. 11. This is not restriction class 11 but day restriction class 1 and night rest class 1.

Why not set the phones in question to 18 that way during day mode they can dial out and in night mode they are restricted.
