this is a followup to my previous question, now that i have reformatted the c partition, the computer doesnt recognize the HD, how do i reset the c partition without erasing all the data on partition d and e?
in ohter words how do i reset partitons without losing all the data on them?
thanks in advance

hai,
hey see if you have any DDO sort of thing!are you using maxtor drives?if your drive was partitioned using some special utility given by hdd manufacturer, you need to see the manual of that utility.generally you need to reapply DDO if you format the root partition(c: in windows).just see my reply in other thread for more details.

Not really sure, but maybe this may help. Boot from floppy disk. Run FDISK utility, view the partition details and make sure that the drive partition is set to active.
