I have a Windows 2000 Advanced Server running as a PDC. The problem is that when I login locally to the server, my workstations (98,2000,and ME)lose the capability of accessing any resources on the server. Those workstations that were already logged in can still access all resources as normal. However any ws that tries to logon after the local login, cannot map or browse any resource on the server. As long as the server is sitting at the login prompt everything works great.Any idea what could be causing this? Is this a master browser issue?

A local session shouldn't really matter, but are you sure you aren't at the limit of your license count?

Do you run a login script, and if so, what happens on the workstations that now cannot login?

Any event ids generated in the system event log when this occurs?

Matt J.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
