i have 2 elements (3300)in a cluster, 2 ip phones are programmed in each system, i'd like to make these devices resilient, i made the sync between the two elements, it went smoothly,
when programing the devices in the RDN, should i include the local & the remote extension in this form or only the local/remote one?
In MCD 5 you can't access the RDN form to alter it so I am assuming your software level is below that. The RDN form shows the extensions contained on other cluster elements. In order for resiliency you need your 3300's clustered. Past that we would need to know what software load you are at.
I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
If you have Migrated the DB to SDS mode then you no longer have access to the Remote Directory Form.
If you've properly Clustered your system, you designate the Secondary system for the user via the User and Config form and the system takes care of the rest.
You must reset the phone after you make it resilient for it to get the secondary programming.
