Hello,

Can anybody help me please, this problem is driving me mad !!

I have created a report within an Access database and the output is approximately 400 pages long.

The report shows by customer, what invoices are outstanding. I have set a group footer so that each customer is separated in the report.

The page number in the report is sequential, ie, 1,2....400.

What I would like is for the page numbers to be based on the group footer, ie:-

Customer Number 1
Page 1 of 2

Customer Number 2
Page 1 of 4

Any help is appriciated.

In MS Access, go to the help section and do a search for "Reset page numbers for each group in a report". It explains in detail how to do this.

Good luck,

Page can be reset easily:
Me.Page = 1

However, [Pages] cannot (as far as I know). And it's a real pain to get Access to know over how many pages a group spans.

So either invest a lot of time to figure out how to get the total pages per group or give it up and just print as many reports as groups you have... Simply loop through customers and open the report as acNormal rather than acPreview.

Not much of a difference in the outcome, but a lot faster...

I'd be happy, however, to be proven wrong...
