Hi, everybody....

I know that no one is a fan of reports based on queries written in SQL Designer, but I need some assistance.

I wrote a query via SQL Designer and it works fine. I designed the report, it works fine...from my PC.

The problem is I need it to work from the web. I saved the query in the same directory on the server as is on my PC--"D:\Data\TestReports\blah, blah". I then uploaded my report from CR using Crystal Enterprise folder which went fine. I noticed when went to configure my parameters, CE saved the report as a temp file.

I ran the report which was successful, but when I tried to open it, I got an "Unable to open Page Server" error message--I figured it's because CE saved it as a temp file.

So, I then went through CE (using the "Browse" button) and pulled the report in and CE saved it as a *.rpt file, but when I ran the report, it failed with a "Not Enough Memory for Operation" error.

What am I missing, if anything.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I rebooted the server and tried it again...I'm still getting the error.

It prompts me for the database name and password and when I put it in, it won't go beyond that stage.

Thanks.

So let me understand this, if you select schedule, it completes successfully, if you select View, it prompts for the user/pw?

This is bizarre, since both are based on the same settings.

When you added the report to CE, did you set the database properties? Use the CMC->Manage Objects->Select the report->Database tab.

It sounds like the connectivity failed, but it should never have completed a scheduled task either. kai@informeddatadecisions.com

Yep, that's right when I schedule a report it runs--can't view it, but I suppose it ran

Yes I set the database and password.

I presume this is from within ePortfolio, and by View you mean that you select the report and say View, and it then should try to create a new report.

This is very odd, I'm afraid I'm at a loss, the report should NOT run in the scheduler either, unless you set the database properties differently within the scheduling facility.

Double check the USER/PASSWORD.
