I'm trying to use replication across the VPN to another companies SQL Server 7 machine. I'm running SQL Server 2000 and wish to do a pull snapshot subscription from them.
The Replication is all set-up, just one thing seems to be standing in our way.
The agent on our machine has been unable to connect to the distributer agent on the remote machine. I can see no obvious error messages for this.
Please could someone help.

Thanks
Clive

Sounds to me like a MSDTC problem, replication will use MSDTC to carry out the remote work. Make sure MSDTC is running on both servers and that theres no firewall causing a problem. There is a tool you can use to test connectivity between to different MSDTC machines but I can't remember what its called.

I have looked high and low on other sites do you mean, dtcping.exe ?
