Replace text in headers

Does anyone know of a way to replace text in headers (in one or more sections) in a macro? I need to be able to search for text and replace it in the body of a document as well as in all its headers.

That helps. What I actually need to do is search for and capture <*> (the * standing for any number of characters between <> and use that as a prompt in an info box. Then I need to again search for what was found all over the document and replace it with what the user entered in the info box.
